The Making of Quilt Squared

Quilt Squared started as a project for Canada's 150th anniversary celebration in 2017.  Conversation sparked about doing a 12" square block based on the newly designed Perth County Tartan for Canada's 150th birthday. Not realizing that many others were doing similar projects,  Alizon and Chantal got in touch with St Marys Museum as a venue and had a terrific show. Over 35 wonderful and very creative textile art works were submitted with many styles of work represented. Our show was hosted by the St Marys Museum, and the project featured a wide range of artisans bringing together the young and old, near and far, experienced and brand new fibre artists.

Our small show goes to the big city this year! Our 2018 show quilts have been invited to hang in two additional shows:
